Hip Conditions

There are many potential causes for hip problems. I aim to offer the highest standard of care from investigation through to treatment by using careful and experienced assessment alongside access to the full range of modern imaging modalities such as specialist x-ray, ultrasound, MRI and CT scanning. I have close links with local physiotherapy practices to help support both operative and non-operative solutions and alternative treatments such as shockwave therapy.

Common Hip Conditions:

  • Osteoarthritis of the hip

  • Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome

  • Gluteal tendinopathy / lateral hip pain / bursitis

  • Hip impingement “FAI”

  • Groin pain

  • Labral tears

  • Painful or worn hip replacements

  • Hip dysplasia

  • Avascular necrosis

  • Snapping hip syndrome

  • Problematic metal on metal hips
